Questions & Answers

Thinking about doing a thread lift?

Thread lift with V Soft Line resets your face V shape by placing thin lifting threads subdermally or intradermally. At the same time, it stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, which provides a more noticeable skin rejuvenation. A thread lift resembles a small face lift.

This is a new natural facelift without any longer healing time. V Soft Line is produced by Swedish V Soft Lift AB.

You can lift and treat:

forehead, chin, cheeks, lips, throat, jaw line, eyebrows, double chin, thin folds, wrinkles, glabella, and more.

The treatment takes about 30-60 minutes and is performed by inserting a thin needle under the skin. The procedure is similar to a filler treatment. There are two types of threads. Lifting threads with cogs placed in thin cannulas and smooth threads for skin rejuvenation. For younger patients looking for firmer skin, the smooth rejuvenating threads are preferred. For patients 40+, a combination of cogged and smooth threads are recommended for a double effect. There are also special threads with a mesh-like grid that can be combined with dermal fillers. This treatment offers volume and perfect shape.

The thread material

The thread is non-permanent biodegradable PDO (Polydioxanone). This is a colorless, crystal-like, biodegradable synthetic, non-animal-based polymer. Biodegradation of PDO occurs through a process of hydrolysis, by transforming to natural carbon dioxide and water. The process takes about 6 months.

Before and after treatment

Like other injection treatments as dermal fillers and  neuromodulators, the patient should avoid any blood thinning products. You should also avoid alcohol. Avoid having to exercise.

Cost

The cost of the procedure is fairly low compared to a surgical face lift. Since the result is non-permanent you should consider for a re-treatment after 6 to 12 months, like other injectable treatments. The price of the procedure depends on how many lifting and / or smooth threads are used.

Are there any side effects?

Swelling and possible bruising may occur with the treatment. Infections and scarring are very rare.

Who is authorized to conduct a V Soft Lift treatment? Are there any side effects?
